Paul E. Mack was born on October 9, 1968 at Sibley Hospital, in Washington, DC., as the third of four children. In 1987 he graduated St. John's College High School in Washington, DC. While at St. John's, Mr. Mack developed a desire to pursue a career as an attorney.

Mr. Mack graduated from the University of Maryland University College in December, 1992 with a B.S. in marketing. He graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1996, passed the Maryland Bar Exam on his first attempt and officially became an attorney in December, 1996.

Mr. Mack worked "of counsel" to Lynn A. Lubitz, Esquire, and then in January, 2001, Ms. Lubitz and Mr. Mack joined the firm of Hodes, Ulman, Pessin & Katz, P.A. (HUPK), in its litigation department. It was at HUPK that Mr. Mack began working with his current partner, Jason A. Shapiro, who was the Chief of the Criminal Division of that firm. During this time, he was working on criminal cases, traffic matters and Juvenile offenses, as well as civil litigation cases such as personal injury matters.

Mr. Shapiro and Mr. Mack were able to rapidly grow the criminal practice at HUPK over the next several years. They then decided to leave HUPK and start their own firm, Shapiro & Mack, P.A., during the latter part of January, 2005, so they could better serve our clients. Mr. Shapiro and Mr. Mack, as well as their staff, strive daily to provide not just outstanding legal services to their clients, but also exceptional customer service. The vast majority of Shapiro & Mack's clientele is comprised of referrals and word of mouth.

Mr. Mack, has been happily married since December, 1994, and has two children, a daughter born in 1998 and a son born in 2001. He is involved in a number of community activities and charitable events.
